In 1965, the Dodge Charger was first presented and called “Charger II”. This hot fast car was manufactured with hidden headlights, quad bucket seats and full-width tail lamps to complement its Hemi engine, unique styling and distinctive features.

After a year of production, the new fast car Charger was revamped to alter a few imperfections while adding fender-mounted turn signals and the Magnum 500 option.

In the late ’60s until 1970, the second generation of Dodge Charger fast cars came about – with two impressive models: the Base Charger and the 318 or 383 V8s. However, it was in 1969 when DaimlerChrysler introduced the Special Edition Package and Charger Daytona that shaped the history of the Charger’s supercar automobile.

During the early 1970’s, the third generation of Dodge Charger super fast cars was produced. With a completely redesigned fast car, its exterior, interior and engine underwent overall upgrading.

For 2006, this impressively fast muscle car will feature two more doors and a spacious interior.  With a more mature design, the Charger new fast car will focus on performing with daily driving practicality.

The SRT8 fast new car is the baby of the scientists at the DaimlerChrysler SRT Division (Street and Racing Technology).

Charger SRT8 features a five-speed automatic gearbox that complements the 6.1-liter 90 Ëš V8 Hemi with iron block or alum heads. A super fast car that can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5 seconds and through 100 mph in 11 seconds.

The Charger SRT8 is one of those “fast and the furious car” types, where not everyone will appreciate its aggressiveness. To put it simply, the newest Charger will definitely perform as an above average, fast racing car.

The main feature included in the 2006 Charger upgraded is the sheet metal. From outside this superb fast car, you will see the large hood scoop and massive 20-inch wheels representing additional SRT8 firepower.

The Charger chassis is improved greatly with SRT-tuned dampers, suspension bushings, large-diameter anti-sway bars and specially tailored spring rates complemented by a braking system with Brembo 4-piston calipers. These improvements allow the SRT8 fast car to perform safely even with great speed – just as it was designed to function.

The interior of the SRT8 displays Dodge simplicity with first-rate materials for its special seats and trims as well as the fully decked-out cabin.

The SRT8 hot fast car also offers optional features that focus on practicality. These add-ons include Bluetooth wireless technology, Sirius satellite radio, SRT Kicker speakers, side airbags, automatic climate control, navigation radio, powerful sunroof and gas-guzzler.

The Dodge Charger SRT8, which is estimated to have a $35,300 base price, will be manufactured at Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

In 1970, DaimlerChrysler introduced the Challenger with an engine choice of 125 HP SIX or 425 HP 426 Hemi with only 83,000 units. Since then, the fast sports car Challenger was produced yearly until 1978.

With more than thirty years of waiting, the Challenger fast car has now been released. Although to be out in the market at 2007, 2008 and 2009, DaimlerChrysler presented the Challenger Concept super fast muscle car at the Detroit Auto Show.

The designers of the Challenger new fast car considered a modern model for the muscle car. However, the result became much more outstanding – a retro design with modern performance.

This concept is derived from the most sought after fast muscle car – the Challenger 1970. The fast new car will be built as an improved version, without the imperfect designs, long front overhang and tucked-under wheels.

The hot fast car of DaimlerChrysler will be featuring a 425 horsepower 6.1-liter Hemi engine, which is capable of boosting the car from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, and through 100 mph in 13 seconds – with a top speed of 174 mph.

DaimlerChrysler emphasized on simplicity and performance by taking majority of the positive features from the 1970 fast car model and integrating it with a 116-inch wheelbase, spacious cabin and plenty of rear room for four occupants.

According to DaimlerChrysler, the fast new car Challenger Concept remains pure with simple and minimal line work.

Most features of the Challenger Concept fast cars are features that the original model lacked. For instance, the bumpers now flush with the body due to its smooth, body color. It is also equipped with a B-pillar and all glass is set to level with the body without any kind of moldings.

Other improved features of the Challenger fastest muscle cars include hefty bolsters in the front seats,

Of course, the original model also has features worth saving. DaimlerChrysler retained the original leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering column ribbing, the pistol grip and the six-speed manual gearbox.

New for the challenger fast cars is the aggressively looking gauge holes, which are edged outboard by a larger gauge-looking computer that allows the driver to establish overall top speed, quarter-mile speed and time as well as speed for each gear.

In addition, the gorgeous-looking hood defines the 1970 performance hood yet with a functional valve intake. It is designed to highlight the modern techniques used in the production of this unbelievably fast car. As you can see, those paint stripes are actually exposed carbon fiber from the hood materials.

Because DaimlerChrysler wanted everything to be accurate – right design, correct proportions, functional materials and modern gadgets – for the Challenger supercar automobile, they actually succeeded. The 2006 Challenger Concept fast cars is a retro beauty with state-of-the-art handling performance.
