At the Los Angeles Auto Show held in 2005, Jaguar presented their newest addition to its line of hot fast cars – the 2006 Jaguar XK Victory Edition.

The XK Victory models are limited edition to celebrate the XK’s fourth championship win in the Trans-AM road racing series. Special Victory trims of new fast cars will be offered to the XK8 Coupe and Convertible as well as a more exceptional XKR coupe and convertible.

This limited edition package includes polished doorsill plates, checkered flag badges, cross-drilled Brembo brakes, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and customized 20-inch BBS wheels. Exclusively for the XK8 fast cool cars, new Elmwood veneers are also included.

Although the XK8 Coupe and convertible Victory Edition offers special limited color trims and features, the glamorous 2006 XK8 is a Jaguar classic with state-of-the-art driving functions and electronics that can perform equally as the XK8 Victory.

The 3,277-pound XK8 Coupe and 3,980-pound XK8 Convertible, although introduced in late 1996, remains a superlative fast sports car class.

Derived from its first look, the 2006 XK8 super fast car models retained its clean form, classic long-hood, flowing aerodynamic style and short-deck proportions.

The XK8 fast cars present a new spacious oval air-intake and revamped grille. To lower the XK8 visually, the side rocker panels and front apron has been expanded downwards.

True to its Jaguar tradition, the interior are made with classic leather and burled wood. This super fast car’s instrument panel is emphasized by a full-width book-matched burled walnut veneer. The front seats of the XK8, which can be adjusted automatically, are made from hand-made leather.

The XK8 fast convertible sports car goes with a power-operated top – another classic tradition of the renowned manufacturer.

Its 4.2-liter V8 engine can boost this hot fast car from zero to 60 mph in 6 seconds and zero to 100 mph in 13.6 seconds. Although not built for as a track-ready sports car, the XK8 can produce 294 to 390 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 303 to 399 lbs-ft of torque at 3500 to 4100 rpm. With a 6500-rpm redline; it could accelerate up to a top speed of 155 mph.

Not just another fast sports car, the XK8 is equipped with front and side, head and chest airbags, stability and traction control systems, 4-wheel vented antilock disc brakes and an upgraded automatic speed limiter. An optional cruise control system is also available.

For the 2006 S-Type super fast cars, Jaguar offers three distinct engines – a 3-liter V-6, a 4.2-liter V-8 and the supercharged 4.2-liter V-8.

With different engines, the supercar automobile S-type can extend separate levels of performance. The S-Type 3-liter V6, with 24 DOHC valves, produces 235 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 216 lbs-ft of torque at 4100 rpm. The 4.2-liter V8 delivers 300 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 310 lbs-ft of torque at 4100 rpm. Last but not the least, the 4.2-liter supercharged V8 can boost 400 horsepower at 6100 rpm and 413 lbs-ft of torque at 3500 rpm.

The new fast cars of the S-Type models, which perform with a 6-speed automatic with overdrive transmission, can accelerate smoothly from zero to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds and zero to 100 mph in 13.7 seconds.

With a top speed of 155 mph, the braking system of this hot fast car can put the S-Type to a stop from a 60-0 foot distance of 119.
