Lotus has produced a variety of high-performance supercar automobile in the past. As soon as the announcement regarding the new Lotus Europa S spread into the world of the speed junkies, many automobile enthusiasts became anxious of what this new fast car is made of.

Not to be confused with the super fast cars Elise or Exige, which are both allocated as Lotus Type Number 111, the 2006 Lotus S Europa is dubbed with a 121 Lotus type number.

The 2-seater fast sports car is an improved version of the first Lotus 1960s mid-engined Grand Tourer (GT). With the classic feel, the Lotus Europa S 121 will offer most of the handling capabilities of the Elise or Exige – but with a more practical package.

Colin Chapman, founder of Lotus Motor Cars, is recognized for bringing his philosophy to life – integrating superb aerodynamics and smart weight reduction ideas into powerfully engined fast cars. This same principle was the reason for their Formula 1 championships during 1960 to the 70’s.
