The 2006 Ferrari F430 Spider Performs Beyond Your Expectations

After the success of the supercar automobile 430 Coupe, Ferrari sports car manufacturer decided to develop its spider version. Although most of the F30 Spider’s features are derived from the super fast car 360 Modena, Ferrari improved the shortcomings of the previous model and included a more powerful engine.

The Ferrari F430 Spider gets 485 horsepower at 8500 rpm and 343 lb-ft of torque at 5250 rpm out of its 4.3-liter V8, enough to propel it to 60 mph in approximately 4.2 seconds and 100 mph in 9 seconds. With an 8500-rpm redline, the 3,350-pound Spider fast car can boost up to a top speed of more than 190 mph.

The F430 Spider hot fast car has two transmission types available. The standard transmission includes a six-speed manual with classic clutch pedal and conventional Ferrari shifter.  An optional transmission is the Formula 1-inspired gearbox – manual transmission electro-hydraulic-mechanical paddle shifters for a more refined street driving.

Another impressive feature of this new fast car also derived from Formula 1 racing is the manettino switch with several vehicle settings such as Race, Sport, Low Grip and Ice – each with specific settings used in different driving conditions.

However, Ferrari cautions those fast car enthusiasts that the Race Setting should only be used in a controlled setting such as a racetrack because this setting switches off the entire traction and stability control systems of the Spider.

This fast cool car follows the Modena concept with its Spider top that folds in thirds within twenty seconds from full-down to full-up and vice versa.  This padded top is available in Bordeaux, black, navy and beige.

The F430 Spider super fast car has upgraded bodywork that includes a wind blocker made of polycarbonate materials to improve rearview mirror visibility, re-shaped rear quarters and a bigger rear diffuser.  A breathtaking view of the Ferrari F430 Spider hot fast car is the black, rear engine canopy covered with glass and dressed up with chromed oil cap and red covers.

This convertible sports car has a spacious interior, leather-wrapped steering wheel with bright red start button and side-hugging high-quality leather seats. Although headroom is quite tight for occupants over 6 feet, tall drivers may as well enjoy their driving with the padded cloth top down.

Although geared to be a fast sports car, the F430 Spider also has a spacious trunk located between the front wheels and can functionally accept carry-on luggage.
