The 2006 Honda S2000: Re-Wired for More Top-Notch Speed

Honda prides itself with its roadster-style, fast sports car popularly known as the S2000. It has become the performance star for Honda since it combines racetrack-ready high performance with daily cruising.

For 2006, the S2000 new fast cars will be revamped with a few imperfections to improve its high-class performance. It is simply defined as an enthusiast’s fast car.

For the 2006 super fast car S2000, Honda retained its impressive engine. Powered with a 2.2-liter DOHC, 4-cylinder VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lifting Electronic Control); the S2000 fast car can deliver 237 horsepower at 7800 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque at 6800 rpm.

Propelling to a top speed of 150 mph, the S2000 fast new cars can accelerate to zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and through 100 mph in 14.6 seconds.

To complement this powerful engine, the S2000 fast cool cars are integrated with a compact, longitudinally mounted, close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission with direct linkage feature, which is used in maintaining precise shifting and short throws.

The 2006 S2000 super fast cars feature notable improvements such as the standard headrest speakers, revised seats and console design, outdoor temperature gauge, new and exclusive allow wheel design, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) and an electronic DBW (Drive-By-Wire) Throttle System.

In addition, the 2006-upgraded version of the S200 fast cars offer a new exterior color – the Laguna Blue Pearl.

Standard features of the S2000 super fast cars include leather upholstery, limited-slip differential, 4-wheel-disc antilock brakes, power accessories, keyless entry, air conditioning, CD stereo and glass rear window with heating elements.

Although Honda has no optional features, dealer-installed features such as semi-permanent top can be added.

This new fast car delivers exceedingly sharp and very responsive steering system, suspension and one of the best manual transmissions in the market.

Designed with a balanced weight front-to-rear distribution, the S200 allows this supercar automobile to perform smooth handling.

Just like other two-seater, fast sports cars in the market, the S2000’s interior can be a bit crowded for tall or well-built occupants.  Its trunk space is fit for only a couple of normal-sized luggage.
