The 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX: A Car beyond Perfection
When the Lancer Evolution was presented in the world of supercar automobile, it shocked both the market and fast car junkies for its top-of-the-line thrilling performance. For 2006, Mitsubishi offers a revamped version of the Evolution fast cars. Launched as the Lancer Evolution IX, the new fast cars offers a more powerful engine, a revised turbocharger, restyled fascia and lamps, revamped rear carbon fiber wing, lighter weight, enhanced Enkei wheels, aluminum pedals, improved seat materials and variable valve timing on the intake side. This fast new car is powered by a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine complemented by an inter-cooled turbocharged and tuned by the MIVEC system (Mitsubishi’s Innovative Valve Timing and Electronic Control). The new impressive engine can boost this super fast car from zero to 100 mph in 4.4 seconds and through 100 mph in 11.9 seconds due to its 286 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 289 ft-lbs of torque at 3500 rpm. These hot fast cars are integrated with Brembro brakes, which are modulated by Mitsubishi Sports ABS. It can haul this fast car down from 60 mph in 110 feet. Among the many changes of the 2006 Lancer Evolution fast cool cars, the massive air intakes are the most noticeable. It is located on the upper grille and the front bumper. The Evo IX lacks a cruise control system, GPS, a trip computer and an MP3-capable CD player. However, these fast new cars are equipped with a six-speaker single-disc stereo. For a more grand entertainment system, an optional package is available to gear up your hot fast cars with a 315-watt Infinity seven-speaker system, a sunroof, speed radar detector and leather trims. Standard features of this impressive super fast car include manual reclining leather Recaro seats, leather-trimmed Momo steering wheel, large central tachometer and speedometer. Since this supercar automobile performs undeniably fast, it is integrated with a number of practical safety features. The Evo IX is equipped with Brembo brakes, 12-inch disc, two-piston rear calipers and electronic brake-force distribution as well as complete airbags (driver and front passenger), secured child-seat installation, lowered anchors, pre-tensioners and force limiters. With over 30 World Rally Championships, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution has been a favorite among WRC racing and PlayStation2 gamers.
