The Chrysler Crossfire is one of the most exciting fast cars that Chrysler has offered the supercar automobile market. Launched in 2003, the Crossfire sport coupe became the corona for the brand.
When it was launched in 2003, its mechanical features were derived from the Mercedes Benz SLK super fast car roadster. However, the Crossfire hot fast cars were presented with a more broad shoulder hardtop.
In 2005, Chrysler and coachbuilder Karmann developed a convertible version of the Crossfire fast cool cars known as SRT6. Â With German and American elements, its engineering and chassis defines an authentic fast convertible sports car.
For 2006, the production of Crossfire new fast cars features a Special Edition Package on the roadster. These fast new cars are presented with new Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat exterior color palette, Dark Slate Gray cloth seats, black windshield surround and cast-aluminum wheels as well as satin silver door handles and side louvers.
Simply put, the Crossfire new fast cars are slightly unchanged, except for the new exterior colors – Machine Gray Crystal Pearl Coat and Oyster Gold Crystal Metallic.
All Crossfire fast car trims are powered the 3.2-liter Supercharged V6 engine, which produces 330 horsepower at 6100 rpm and 310 ft-lbs of torque at 3500 rpm. This impressive engine can boost the fast new cars from zero to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and through 100 mph in less than 16 seconds.
The impressive engine of these hot fast cars is complemented with either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the optional 5-speed AutoStick automatic gearbox with manual-shift capability. However, the SRT6 fast cars only come with the five-speed automatic gearbox.
Responsible for the agile handling and turning power of these super fast cars are the unique 5-link array, 18-inch aluminum wheels, front performance tires, 19-inch rims and rubber at the rear as well as the double-wishbone front suspension.
Safety features include 4-wheel disc antilock brakes, speed sensitive rear spoiler traction control and the Electronic Stability Program (derived from Mercedes Benz).
