Carroll Shelby is one of the most celebrated innovators of the fast sports car design. Having numerous, successful Mustang-based designs such as the Shelby GT350, Shelby GT500, 427 Shelby Cobra and Dodge Viper. Most of Shelby’s super fast cars were combined with the high-performance engines of Ford.
In 1967 to 1970, the production of the most legendary, fast sports car – the Mustang Shelby GT500 – became an outstanding part of the supercar automobile history. This hot fast car was only one of the many Ford-Shelby projects.
Since 2003, the Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) with the blessing and design of the legendary Carroll Shelby has been integrating classic Shelby with modern upgrades to produce the fast car successor of the GT500.
The revival of the fast cool car Shelby GT500 features a stronger engine in a Mustang muscle body, which delivers more torque, power and better handling complemented by a sophisticated visual force.
However, with the combination of modern technology into the GT500 new fast cars, expect a more advanced engine with a double overhead cam shifts, thirty-two valves, the classic live axle and the Eaton supercharger.
The 2007 Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 fast new cars will be presented in impressive striped exterior with a powerful engine under its hood. Sticking to the original GT500, the 2007 fast car version is available in both coupe and convertible.
The 2007 GT500 hot fast cars are powered by a 5.4-liter Supercharged V-8 engine that produces 500 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 480 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm. These extraordinary fast cars are expected to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds and through 100 mph in 10.3 seconds.
This spectacular fast car engine is tuned with Ford’s modular engine experience. The Ford Shelby GT500 uses the distinctive Ford cast-iron engine block and a Drivetrain geared with aluminum, piston rings and bearing and four-valve cylinders, which helps in giving additional durability to the Drivetrain. The final addition to this super fast car’s engine is the powered SVT camshaft covers.
The engine is complemented by a six-speed manual gearbox. It was particularly utilized to provide this fast car with both a winning driving experience in either track or road environments.
The Ford SVT engineers focused on improving the new fast car’s chassis. Enhancements include revised shocks, upgraded stabilizer bars and spring rates – which assist the GT500 in stopping and turning smoothly.
Unlike the past Mustang Cobra, the menacing front-end design features wide upper and lower openings, geared up with a functional air splitter. The upper intake displays the renowned Cobra logo floating in the off-center. Both sides of this super fast car include slanting headlamp openings that adds a dramatic frontal appearance.
While the GT500 script is inscribed on the gas cap emblem, the Shelby classic Cobra logo is seen on both the headrest and the massive grille.
Inside this amazingly fast car, lies upgraded features representing functionality and comfort. The front seats were given additional lateral support. Shelby redesigned the position of both the tachometer and speedometer to give drivers a better view of shift points.
The leather-upholstered interior is available in two colors – Charcoal Black or Crimson Red. To finish this luxurious package are snake logos embossed in the back seats.
